why did the past such as 1700’s prefered featuring full body humans in objects such as tables rather than being abstract like today.. or if thats too specific.. maybe why did they prefer it in art in general.. any social influences?
I’ve decided I want a tattoo in white ink. It is simple–the word “faith” on the side of my foot. Some of the ones I have seen online look really good, and other just look like raised scars. How can I be sure mine is very white & you can tell what it is? I have fairly pale skin. I also heard that they fade and yellow with time. True?
It’s a two part question.
“What lasting effect (if any) has Greek sculpture had on today’s sculptures and public artwork?
As you learned, the ancient Greeks held the human body in high regard and were not modest or shamed in portraying nude figures in sculpture. They considered the human body as a source of beauty and inspiration. Is this similar or different from 21st century American ideals of showing the human body? Explain how and why. ”
And I just want some ideas … so to any of you who say “Do your own work”, I am. I’m just asking for help.
