I’m not seriously considering getting a tattoo so I don’t need answers discouraging me from getting one.
The placement would be where a ring goes on a finger and all the way around like a ring, it would be a thin straight line going around. How painful would it be and what exactly would the pain feel like?
How does it compare to getting a tattoo on a thicker part of the body, like the upper arm? (How much less painful is it to get it on an upper arm?)

I am in the process and am almost final with a long divorce and want to get a tattoo that symbolizes change or a new beginning.
I would like something big enough to maybe be a sleeve on my right arm but am open to suggestions for a smaller tattoo as well.
I am leaning towards maybe an Asian design since I have a koi on my left arm but want something original too. I am also Irish and would be open to ideas on that as well.
