Mitch O’connell: Tattoos (Paperback)

Mitch O'connell: Tattoos

The book contains 250 tattoo designs, the best of O’Connell’s 3 sets of tattoo flash titled Stewed, Screwed and Tattooed (2001), Done While Drunk (2002), and From the Bottom of the Barrel (2006). Each limited edition set sold for $100, and is now out of print, and this volume collects all the images in one easy-to-flip-through book. Mitch O’Connell’s art is reminiscent of the Old School tattoo art, from masters such as Sailor Jerry Collins and Don Ed Hardy, but uses more contemporary themes with a distinctive style.

    Boring
Dont know what i expected, buying this book quite spontainiously, but the illustrations were not worth much to me. Looks like mass-produced cute illustrations for tweens.

    Sheer Pulp Awesomeness
Great book, more freakideakiness than should be legal in such a small package. Seriously, there should be a three week waiting period to get your hands on this publication.

    Its Okay
This book doesn’t have any pictures of actual work. Each image looks like a professional cartoon but there are many variations of the same work.

    SA-WEEET!
Fantastically original style! It is very rare that you come across an artist with a vision who is not afraid to put it out there.

Great art. Great tatoos. Good book.
If you like Mitch OConnell or if you are into tatoos or illustration in general this is a great book.

    Destined to be a classic
I bought this book at an art show – having never gotten a tattoo (at age 43) I decided to get page 112 on my right calf — I’ve had a lotta fun with this book, it’s a great start…
